Under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, grant cheques were distributed among beneficiaries of the 2022 floods to support the construction of their houses under the Housing Reconstruction Program. Implemented by the Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives and the Housing Reconstruction Unit (HRU) – IFRAP, the initiative aims to ensure timely financial assistance for safe and dignified housing reconstruction.
During the distribution ceremony, eligible flood-affected families received housing reconstruction grants to initiate or continue construction of their homes. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparent and efficient utilization of resources, emphasizing that the program is a key step toward the swift rehabilitation of flood-affected communities and the restoration of livelihoods across Balochistan.
